How We Got Here
The SEWP VI process was not straightforward for anyone. NASA issued the final solicitation in May 2024, then navigated a strategic pause, multiple rounds of amendments, and a sustained wave of industry protests before completing evaluations and making awards in June 2026. The final proposal deadline was extended multiple times, and companies that succeeded had to remain not just compliant but competitive across an extended, high-pressure timeline.
For DBISPLLC, this award reflects a focused effort by our internal team to produce a technically sound, fully compliant proposal — one that accurately represented our capabilities, our past performance across hundreds of federal transactions, and our commitment to serving government customers at every level. We also leaned on the guidance of experienced teaming partners and advisors who helped us navigate the complexity of this acquisition, and we are grateful for that collaboration.
To everyone who contributed to getting us across the finish line: this win belongs to you as much as it does to us.
What This Means for Our IT Manufacturer Partners
A SEWP VI prime contract changes the equation for every IT manufacturer we work with — and for every manufacturer who has not yet worked with us.
For our existing partners: this contract deepens and extends our ability to move your products to federal customers. With SEWP VI’s expanded scope and 10-year ordering period, agencies that are modernizing infrastructure, deploying new cloud architectures, or refreshing hardware fleets now have a streamlined, pre-competed pathway to purchase through DBISPLLC. We want to ensure your products are positioned to win those opportunities.
For IT manufacturers who have not yet established a relationship with us: we understand the conversation. Perhaps your current reseller relationships have served you well. Perhaps you haven’t needed to add a new channel partner to reach the federal market. We respect that — and we want to make a straightforward case for why SEWP VI changes the calculus.
Federal agencies must now actively route purchases through established GWACs. SEWP VI is one of the most widely used federal IT vehicles in existence, and having your products accessible through a SEWP VI prime holder means your brand is reachable by every federal buyer who uses this contract. We have the procurement infrastructure, the compliance track record, and the day-to-day presence in the federal market to represent your line effectively — from responding to agency RFQs to managing delivery, documentation, and reporting.
If your products fit the IT, communications, or audio-visual categories that SEWP VI covers — and that’s a broad umbrella — we would like to talk. Winning a SEWP VI prime position is one thing. Competing effectively at the task order level over the next decade requires the right product portfolio and the right manufacturer relationships to back it. We are building both, intentionally.
Looking Ahead
SEWP VI’s ordering period begins November 1, 2026. In the months ahead, we will be working to ensure our processes, systems, and partner relationships are fully prepared to perform on day one. We will also be monitoring the ongoing transition from SEWP V, which is extended through January 2027, to ensure continuity of service for our existing customers during the handoff period.
For our current government customers: your orders placed through SEWP V remain valid through the extension period, and we will be in contact with you proactively as the transition date approaches to make sure there are no disruptions to your procurement timelines.
This is a milestone for DBISPLLC — one we are proud of and one we intend to build on. Thank you to our team, our partners, and our customers for making it possible. The next ten years start now.
